Mr. Whitecotton has more than 20 years of domestic and international professional experience directly related to environment, occupational health and safety. His broad background in certifications and experience has given him significant insight and experience in establishing and improving environment, health and safety standards.

Prior to joining Summit ESP, Mr. Whitecotton was the HSE Manager for Eaton Corporation’s iron foundry in Amarillo, Texas. In this position, Oland was responsible for the safety of employees and environmental compliance. Prior to joining Eaton, Oland was a Safety Officer in Iraq for DynCorp’s Diplomatic Security Division where he was responsible for the safety of 500 personnel and 35 aircraft in support of the US Dept. of State. Prior to DynCorp, Oland worked for Baker Hughes artificial lift division (Centrilift) where he served as the Southern Region HSE Manager. Prior to this position, Oland worked for the Department of Veterans Affairs as the HSE Manager at the Big Spring, Texas VA Medical Center. In this role Oland was responsible for the safety of the medical staff and patients as well as environmental management. Prior to his position at the Department of Veterans Affairs, Oland spent 21 years in the United States Air Force serving in multiple domestic and international locations before retiring as a Master Sergeant. During his time in the Air Force, Oland had multiple roles and responsibilities related to safety management and aircraft avionics maintenance.

Mr. Whitecotton holds separate Bachelor of Science Degrees in Environmental Management and Occupational Safety and Health, both from Columbia Southern University. Oland has an Advanced Safety Certificate (ASC) from the National Safety Council, a NEBOSH Certificate (National Examination Board in Occupational Safety & Health) from the United Kingdom and is an OHSAS 18001 Certified Auditor.
