Mr. Ashbaugh has more than 20 years of domestic and international experience related to surface controls, downhole sensors and automation/communication systems in the electrical submersible pump industry.
Prior to joining Summit, Mr. Ashbaugh was at Borets-Weatherford where he was the South American Surface Controls Advisor. In this role Ryan was responsible integrating surface controls with Petrobras surveillance systems and training managers and field personnel in operation of surface control systems as well as being responsible for starting up an ESP Service Center and an ESP Repair Center. Earlier at Weatherford, Ryan was part of the Strategic Applications Resource group at Weatherford where he assisted strategic overseas customers to develop high cost/high visibility projects from inception to completion. Before joining Weatherford, Ryan worked over a decade at Baker Hughes artificial lift division (Centrilift) in their Claremore, Oklahoma headquarters where he worked as a Systems Applications and Controls Engineer. As a Controls Engineer at Centrilift, Ryan managed, designed and implemented surface control projects, harmonic mitigation projects and FEED studies around the world. While at Centrilift, Ryan was also responsible for the certification of the Centrilift GCS variable speed drive to UL, CSA, EN and EMC standards.
Mr. Ashbaugh has a broad range of domestic and international client technical interaction experience including Shell, OXY, Pemex, BP and Petrobras.
