Mr. Dinkins has more than 20 years of technical experience in the electrical submersible pump industry related to downhole and top-side ESP design, applications, reliability, training and research.
Prior to joining Summit, Mr. Dinkins was at Baker Hughes artificial lift division (Centrilift) headquarters where he was Manager of Technical Support. Earlier at Baker Hughes, Walter spent thirteen years in Alaska as an account manager and later as a regional engineer for the Alaska ESP customers. He also worked for Schlumberger (REDA) as a design engineer at their Kansas ESP Cable facility.
Mr. Dinkins holds Bachelor and Master of Science Degrees in Electrical Engineering at Oklahoma State University and also holds a Master of Science Degree in Materials Engineering from Georgia Tech. An author/coauthor of 10 published technical papers associated to electrical submersible pumps, Walter holds four US patents related to electromechanical cables and fluidizing formation fines. He is also a licensed professional engineer in Alaska and Oklahoma.
